The Westover Family Update:

Ok, so JJ and I have been married for a year and a month. I guess that is about the time you start sending out the news, "WE'RE PREGNANT!" Well, it's true! As JJ's Dad so cleverly pointed out that a year seems about enough time to "figure it out." I am about four weeks along and as Alex so astutely discovered, about four weeks ago we were at Rachael's for conference and made donuts during the priesthood session. Well, Alex got pregnant around the same time the conference previous and she was at Rachael's then too! Coincidence? I think it was those delicious donuts! Anyway, judging by my last period, I am due within the ball park of January 5, 2010. JJ is hoping the baby goes early and we will be in the delivery room trying to explain to the baby to "Hold on! It's almost midnight!" Well, we will see! I am not for certain, but I don' t think the baby is going get it. My pregnancy is going well due to the fact that I am pretty sick. Those dang HORMONES! But, all for a great cause! My worst symptom is nausea...yuck! JJ's sister was sick during her pregnancy, so he called her for some tips. She said she only ate toast with peanut butter for all her meals for the first little while because it was the only thing that sounded good. So you might guess what my excuse for eating anything I want? YUP! "But, honey! This is the only thing that sounds good!" As I wolf down a Wendy's chocolate frostie and chicken sandwich. Well, it sure is better than barfing later. JJ laughs because he knows what I am up to. All in all JJ has been so wonderful...he just wants me to feel better so he says he will get me anything I want. So to test that idea, I told him I wanted a lemon muffin this morning, among other things, so he went and got me one! JJ came back from the store and handed me the muffin thinking he has done his duty! Well, I took one bite and handed it back to him and said, "Here I'm done." He looked at me with his eyebrows raised and said,"HUH?" Well, the games have begun! Joking aside, We are very excited for this little one to come and I am sure many of you have seen and felt the drastic changes a little pooping, breathing, lump of flesh can bring! Priorities, perspective and bodily changes. I told JJ (since he is applying for dental school this fall) he had better get into dental school now!
